2.  Research Assistant at the Nuclear Medicine Department, Leeds General Infirmary, UK, from May 1993 to July 1994, (my Ph.D. thesis). This work done on 3 Siemens Gamma Cameras of different ages, all connected to Nuclear Diagnostics Computer System (sun-spark).

Medical imaging: imaging and treatment planning system (2D and 3D), physics and image fusion (registration) of X-ray, Angiography, CT, MRI , SPECT and PET imaging and its applications in radiotherapy, Nuclear Medicine and volumetric imaging.

Physics of Nuclear medicine: specially image processing (LSF, MTF), QA and QC of nuclear medicine imaging with SPECT and PET with the modality SPECT/CT and PET/CT .

Physics of Radiotherapy: QC, QA, commissioning, Dosimetery and QA for planning System

Stereotactic Radiosurgery: (intracranial and extracranial) imaging, dosimetery and different planning systems.

4.   Has been responsible for instillation with acceptance tests and training to the staff (doctors, physicists and technologists) on the ROCS 2-D planning system, dosemeter model Electrometer 530, Daily check 7200 and CRS 2-D beam analyzer at the Cancer Institute’s at seven cities (Aswan, Sohage, Elmenia, Damanhor, Demiata, Naser and Elsalam) through the Egypt Ministry Health from 1998 to 2000.

5.         Head of Medical Physics team in development, installation of the first Linac Stereotactic Unit (Intracranial) (Brain Lab - Germeny) in Egypt, placed at the city of Mansura – March 1999.

6.           Head of Medical Physics team in development, installation of the first Linac Stereotactic Unit (Body Radiosurgery) (Med-tronik U. S.) in Egypt, placed at the city of Mansura April 2000.

7.         Has been responsible for the data intery (commissining) and installation of the first Stereotactic (Intracranial and Extracranial) Unit using micromultilefe collimator (Libenger – Germeny) in Egypt, placed at the city of Elexandria (Mostafa Kamel Hospital) Augest 2001.

Responsibilities in Radiology Department

•           Develop and deliver teaching and training courses to Medical Physicists, Radiology and Nuclear medicine physicians and Technologist in X ray physics.

•           Develop and deliver teaching and training courses to Medical Physicists, Radiology and Nuclear medicine physicians and Technologist in Radiation protection.

Development:

•           Introduced to scan led apron in fluoroscopy machine.

•           Drafting departmental policies and procedures to CBAHI .

•           Appointed as a Part Member of the team to PACS and DICOM in the Radiology and Nuclear medicine department..

•           Responsibility of King Abdul Aziz Specialist Hospital for CBAHI - ESR (essential safety requirement ).

            •           There are more 160 credits hours in the fields of nuclear medicine , radiation protection, radiation medicine , leadership management, quality assurance in NM and healthcare management
